Are CALS a type of SSI SSDI disability listing?
CALS are compassionate allowance listings. All you need to know, is that these are mostly the extreme, and terminal, or deadly disabilities that someone applying for disability could possess. It's a special list of over 200 medical conditions, each of which gets their own statute, has a special subcommittee update/analyzing these disabilities, that which results in an instant expedited claim under I-2-1-40(A)(4). Yes, it would be great to get the benefits of a CAL, but realistically, we want disability benefits, but hopefully not from a disability that is so extreme and deadly that we can’t enjoy them.
